Description Moule à Bento cake

The 10 cm mold is perfectly sized for bento cakes , these trendy mini cakes. It allows for even cooking, quick decoration, and is an ideal format for individual servings or as a gift.

To make a Bento cake:

Preheat your oven to 170°C. Butter and lightly flour a 10 cm diameter Bento cake mold .

In a bowl, whisk the egg with the sugar until the mixture whitens and becomes frothy.

Add the vanilla, then stir in the flour, salt and yeast.

Pour in the melted butter or oil and mix gently.

Pour into the 10 cm bento cake mold.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick. Let cool completely before cutting.

Whisk all ingredients together until stiff but smooth. Do not overbeat.

Cut the cake into 2 or 3 thin layers.

Fill each layer with cream.

Cover everything with a thin layer (crumb coat) then smooth for a clean look.

Decorate with fruit, sprinkles or icing writing if you wish to personalize.
