A trompe l'oeil cake kit ideal for making mousses or bavarois

Although the Pera and Fico platinum silicone mould can withstand temperatures from -60°C to +230°C, the plastic base is not oven-safe. This trompe l'oeil kit is therefore suitable for cold preparations, such as mousses or Bavarian creams.

For example, you can make mini desserts composed of pear mousse and a vanilla or caramel insert. Place them in the freezer until thoroughly chilled. You can then decorate them with a coloured glaze (yellow, green, or even velvet spray) to mimic a pear.

Adapt the flavours of your dessert if you want to create a trompe-l'oeil fig. For example, you could make a vanilla mousse with a pistachio centre. To create the perfect illusion of this fruit, use food colouring or purple and play with gradients.
